The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expected scattered thunderstorms in several Provinces, strong winds on the eastern , southern coasts and the Socotra Archipelago during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the centre, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by hailstones at times, are expected to fall in parts of Sa’ada, Al Mahwit, Amran, Sana’a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Al Dhale’, and the Lahj Heights, Abyan, Shabwa provinces and parts of the Tihama Plain.
Scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunder, is also expected in parts of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, Al-Bayda, Taiz, Hajjah provinces, and the southern and eastern coasts.
The center warned citizens against being in the depths of valleys and flood paths, of thunderstorms in mountain highlands, and of low horizontal visibility due to rainfall, water mulch, and fog.
It also warned seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains of sea turbulence and hi
gh waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts.
