The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted the continuation of scattered and variable thunderstorms across several governorates over the next 24 hours.

The center’s weather bulletin indicates that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected to affect parts of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Sana’a, Amran, Raymah, Hajjah, and Mahweet provinces with the possibility of extending westward to Tihama Plain and Hodeida province.

Additionally, scattered rains, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are anticipated in the provinces of Lahj, Dhale’, Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, Mahrah, and the western, southern, and eastern coasts, as well as the deserts of Mahrah and Hadramout.

Recent rainfall measurements include 7.4 mm in Taiz-Al-Hawban, 3.3 mm in Bayda-Dhi Naim, 2.0 mm in Ataq capital of Shabwa, 1.7 mm in Hadramout-Sayun city, 1 mm in Ibb, 0.5 mm in Mahweet, and 0.3 mm in Ad Dali.

Rainfall also occurred in parts of the eastern coasts, interior plateaus, and northwestern and southwestern highland
s, though not all were captured by monitoring stations.

The center has issued a warning advising citizens to avoid valleys and flood-prone areas, be cautious of thunderstorms, and be aware of reduced visibility on mountain roads due to rain.

The risk of rockslides and landslides, particularly on slopes and mountainous roads, is also highlighted.
