The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms of varying intensity to fall on several provinces during the next 24 hours.

The center reported in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it is expected that rain of varying intensity will continue, accompanied by thunderstorms and descending winds with hail falling on parts of Sa’ada, Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Amran, Sana’a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Al-Dhale’ and Al-Hodeidah provinces, and parts of the highlands and plains of Tihama.

It is also expected that rain of varying intensity may fall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, on parts of Taiz, Al-Bayda, the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Al-Mahrah province, and scattered rain on parts of Al-Jawf and Marib provinces, and parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

The center urged citizens in areas where rain is expected to fall to take precautions and be careful not to be in valleys and torrents during and after rainfall, and
from thunderstorms, strong winds and hail.

It warned vehicle drivers of the low horizontal visibility due to rainfall , the formation of low clouds on mountain roads, from rock collapses and crossing ground bridges during the flow of torrents.

The center called on the relevant official authorities to take the necessary measures , procedures to protect lives , property , to follow up on the bulletins and reports issued by it.
