The Deputy Prime Minister of the Caretaker Government for Services and Development Affairs – Head of the Presidential Committee to Confront Flood Damage, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, on Friday launched the shelter materials distribution to those affected by the floods in Al-Duraihimi District in Al-Hodeida Province.

The aid provided by the Yemeni Red Crescent Society, in coordination with the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs branch, targets 350 affected families within the framework of the emergency relief plan to help families whose houses were damaged by the floods.

The head of the Presidential Committee appreciated the effective role of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society and the branch of the Humanitarian Affairs Council in their rapid response and initiative in providing emergency aid and shelter materials to displaced and affected families.

For his part, Governor Mohammed Qahim explained that the Presidential Committee, the Emergency Task Force, the Civil Defense Authority , the competent authorities co
ntinue their relief , rescue missions in the field and help families who have suffered damage as a result of the torrential rains.

In turn, the first deputy governor, Ahmed Al-Bishri, pointed out the emergency interventions and relief efforts taking place in the field according to the work paths that include the directorates of the northern, southern and eastern squares.
