A member of the Supreme Committee for Facing Emergency and Flood Damage, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, along with a member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Bakir, and the Secretary-General of the Local Council of Al-Mahwit Governorate, Dr. Ali Al-Zikem, was briefed on Monday on the extent of flood damage in the district of Bani Harish and Al-Sirb in Qibla Milhan.

They were also briefed along with the heads of the General Organization for Roads and Bridges, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Hadrami, the Road Maintenance Fund, Eng. Nabil Al-Haifi, the Undersecretary of the Governorate, Al-Azi Al-Shajaf, the directors of the governorate’s security, Brigadier General Ali Debeish, and the Zakat Office, Humaid Al-Radmi, on the efforts exerted in removing damage, maintenance and opening roads due to rockslides.

Maqbouli and Al-Zikem stressed the importance of redoubling efforts to remove the damage and open roads to help deliver food, relief, and shelter items to the affected families.

They urged emergency teams to continue w
orking on repairing road damage and putting in place the necessary treatments to protect them from flooding. They praised the efforts made by various parties in carrying out relief and emergency work on the roads, as well as helping the affected families.
