The training program for excellence in public service for Customs Authority employees began today at the Customs Cultural Institute in Sana’a. The week-long program aims to provide 36 participants from customs departments with communication skills, as part of efforts to develop the capabilities of customs cadres , enhance the efficient and effective performance of the Authority.

The Director of the Customs Cultural Institute, Faisal Al-Thawab, explained that the program is qualitative and professional , adds more skills and knowledge to the trainees.

He pointed out that the public is considered the capital of customs work through behaviors in dealing with the public.

Al-Thawab pointed out that the course aims to reflect what the trainee receives on his practical reality in communicating and contacting with the public.

For his part, the training advisor at the Authority, Engineer Abdullah Sana’a, confirmed that the training program aims to deal with the public through multiple behavioral patterns and how t
o respond to customer objections, in addition to defining the importance of the public service employee work.

He pointed out that the program will provide theoretical and practical training on thirteen behavioral patterns for the public, in addition to job ethics and the mechanism of effective communication and contact in the Authority.
