The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) started, Friday, its second phase of distributing relief aid to southern Lebanese people affected by Israeli occupation attacks since October 2023.

In a statement to KUNA, relief coordinator for the Lebanese Red Cross Yousef Boutros said that the KRCS is continuing its relief aid distribution to the Lebanese in cities and villages in the south whose security had been threatened by Israeli occupation attacks.

In coordination with KRCS, the Lebanese Red Cross’ aid includes food and cleaning supplies for over 6,000 Lebanese families, added Boutros.

Meanwhile, Member of Qana town municipality in Tyre Hassan Ftouni extended his gratitude to the leadership and people of Kuwait for their unending support and assistance for Lebanon and its people.

Ftouni underscored the KRCS’ efforts in southern Lebanon, empowering people in regards to their current security and economic difficulties.

The KRCS’ relief and contributions extend to its “loaf project,” aiding and supplying foo
d to thousands of Syrian and Lebanese families and refugees over the years.

With Eid Al-Adha around the corner, the KRCS will distribute food to Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.
