The Kingdom’s tourism revenue dropped during the first 8 months of this year to $4.957 billion, marking a decrease of 3.7%, compared to the same period last year, driven by a 6.7% decline in the number of tourists.

According to official data, tourism revenue generated from Jordanian expatriates soared by 5.8% and Arabs by 11.5%, while tourism income made from European, American and other nationalities went down by 53.9%, 39.1% and 20.1%, respectively.
