The body of Jordanian Maher Al-Jazi, who was killed in a shooting incident at the Israeli side of the King Hussein Bridge earlier this month, was laid to rest in his hometown of Ma’an Tuesday afternoon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said earlier in the day that Al-Jazi’s body was received and will be handed over to his family for burial in the Kingdom.

The ministry also said it is working to secure the release of Jordanian nationals, Musleh Al-Awdat and Hussein Al-Naimat, who were detained after the shooting incident on Sept. 8.
