Jordan aid aircraft arrives in Beirut

A Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft loaded with food, medicines and other relief and medical supplies landed at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport on Saturday to help Lebanon deal with the current difficult conditions.

Jordanian ambassador Walid Al-Hadid and a representative of Lebanese Army Commander Brig. Gen. Ghaleb Kanaan, were on hand to welcome the relief plane.

Kanaan thanked His Majesty King Abdullah for Jordan’s continued support of the Lebanese people.

The aircraft left Amman earlier in the day and was due to evacuate Jordanians from Lebanon amid the current circumstances there
