The Joint Operations Command announced, today, Sunday, the implementation of a landing operation on a den of ISIS terrorist gangs in Anbar.

The command said in a statement that “in continuation of the preemptive operations to pursue the remaining remnants and detachments of the defeated ISIS terrorists, and with accurate intelligence work and follow-up by the Counter-Terrorism Service and planning and follow-up by the Joint Operations Command, and under the supervision of the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations from within the targeting cell, at 4:00 am today, the Counter-Terrorism Service carried out, in a joint operation with the Iraqi National Intelligence Service and with the support of the army aviation and the air force, an airborne force landing operation in the Anbar desert on one of the dens used by ISIS terrorist elements.”

It explained that “the operation resulted in the discovery of important technical evidence, devices, phones, computers and records hidden by ISIS terrorist gangs in this den.”

It stressed that “this qualitative operation comes through the great intelligence work and maturity of the security services and the use of technology and technical equipment and obtaining very important results related to the locations, names and movements of the failed ISIS detachments that are breathing their last breaths due to the intensive preemptive security work.”
