Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), Fathi Jaghbir, expressed appreciation for the “remarkable” support and continuous care provided to Jordanian industry from His Majesty King Abdullah II, which enabled it to successfully enter non-traditional export markets.

In press remarks to ” Petra” Tuesday, Jaghbir noted the King, since assuming his constitutional powers, has given Jordanian industry sufficient attention and high confidence in its capability to compete, grow, support the national economy and achieve development.

Jaghbir added that this Royal support enabled Jordanian industry to reach more than 1.5 billion consumers in 155 markets globally and attract foreign industrial investments with high added value.

Jaghbir stated that:”His Majesty’s tireless efforts were evident in making the Kingdom’s industrial sector as a promising business within the Economic Modernization Vision, as one of the key pillars of Jordan’s comprehensive and sustainable economic growth and development due to its piv
otal role in strengthening the national economy.”

In this regard, he referred to His Majesty’s interest in visiting local factories and his continuous meetings with the Kingdom’s industrial sector, which reflects extent of the Royal care for industry and his follow-up to address challenges and obstacles facing various industrial sectors and their demands.

As for Jordanian Industry Day, which was marked by the JCI a few days ago, he said the occasion aimed to highlight developments on Jordanian industry, which represents a “major” driver of the national economy and introduce the Kingdom’s “distinguished” companies locally, regionally and globally.
