JERUSALEM: Israeli occupation forces Monday morning began demolishing a house and commercial facilities in the town of Anata, east of occupied Jerusalem.

WAFA correspondent, quoting eyewitnesses, said that the occupation forces stormed the town, accompanied by two bulldozers, and began demolishing a house, a wedding hall, and several commercial establishments in the town.

The occupation authorities demolished 318 facilities and notified the demolition of 359 others in the occupied West Bank, including 85 facilities in Jerusalem during the first half of 2024, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

The occupation municipality in Jerusalem refuses to grant the Palestinians building permits, and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes and facilities, in a measure that contradicts international laws and humanitarian laws that guarantee the right to housing, within the framework of the occupation’s systematic practices to forcibly displace them from the city of Jerusalem.
