JERUSALEM: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday demolished a residential building in the Ras al-Amud neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces, with military reinforcements, stormed the neighborhood and began demolishing a two-story residential building, each floor containing four apartments, each measuring 110 square meters, located near Wadi Qaddum.

The four apartments are owned by Zuhair Abdul Aziz Ghaith and his brother Murad Abdul Aziz Ghaith, and Fahd Mubarak and his brother Mphammad Mubarak.

It is noteworthy that the building was built in 2016, and fines amounting to 800 thousand shekels were paid to the occupation municipality, while a decision was issued to demolish it last Wednesday.

Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem say they are forced to build without permit because the Israeli municipality rarely issues permits to the city’s original Palestinian citizens as a way to reduce their number by forcing them to leave it and find accommodation and work elsewhere

A man from one of the capital’s major districts was carried to the hospital after being shot by someone else as a result of a personal dispute, and he later passed away, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesman said in a statement.

He went on to say that the police were able to apprehend the killer and the weapon used in the crime, and that investigations into him had begun in preparation for presenting him to justice.
