Two people were killed and several others were injured in two airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes on Tuesday evening on the southern Lebanese town of Dhaira.

A Lebanese security source told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) correspondent in Beirut that the two airstrikes targeted a number of houses, while a search is underway for missing persons among the rubble.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that “four people, including three paramedics, were injured in the airstrike on Wadi Hamul,” explaining that “the repeated targeting of health workers is a very serious violation of international laws and norms applicable in wartime, which emphasize the need to protect health workers, their centers, and their means of transportation.”
