Israeli authorities approved three construction plans to build 1600 new settlement units in Jerusalem, Israeli media reported on Monday. The new units are planned in the French Hill settlement in eastern Jerusalem, to expand the premises of the Hebrew University. The project was approved by the Israeli Jerusalem municipality’s planning authority and is expected to be approved by the Israeli ministry of interior.
