Hamid Hosseini, a member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian-Iraqi Chamber of Commerce, suggested today, Friday, that his country’s exports to Iraq would reach a record of $12 billion this year.

Hamid Hosseini said in statements, “Although the value of exports decreased by 7.97% in the four months of this year compared to the previous year, the volume of our exports to Iraq increased.”

A member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian-Iraqi Joint Chamber explained: “Our exports to Iraq during the past world amounted to two billion and 398 million dollars, and this number increased during this year to reach two billion and 927 million dollars.”

He pointed out that “the Iraqi government has approved and announced its budget and that many projects have started in Iraq. Iran’s exports to Iraq are expected to increase soon.”

Hosseini said, “Also, given the available conditions and the increase in our exports to Iraq, we are expected to have a record export of $12 billion to Iraq this year.
