Intelligence and security forces arrested three wanted persons on charges of terrorism, kidnapping, and drug trafficking in Baghdad and Najaf.
The Ministry of Defense stated that, through separate duties and through accurate intelligence information, the detachments of the Baghdad Intelligence and Security Directorate affiliated with the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security of the Ministry of Defense were able to overthrow two wanted persons on charges of terrorism and kidnapping in Al-Zafaraniyah and Al-Taji areas in Baghdad, issuing arrest warrants against them in accordance with the provisions of Articles (1/4), 421 kidnapping), where they were referred for investigation to complete their investigative papers.’
It added that the detachments of the Directorate of Intelligence and Security of Najaf Al-Ashraf, affiliated to the same directorate, arrested a dealer and promoter of narcotic drugs in the Najaf Governorate red-handed, and a judicial warrant was issued against him in accordance with A
rticle (28 of Narcotics). His statements were recorded initially and judicially, and the necessary measures were taken against him.
