Industrial Production Index in Palestine up by almost 6% during February – PCBS

The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine increased by 5.98% in February compared to January, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

The increase in the February IPI was due to the increase in the activities of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply by 7.08%, which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry, the activities of the manufacturing industry by 6.21%, which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry, and the activities of mining and quarrying by 2.49%, which had a share of 2.89% of the total industry.

Meanwhile, the activities of water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation decreased by 2.40%, which had a share of 1.84% of the total industry.
