KUALA LUMPUR, Indonesia reaffirmed Tuesday its commitment to the two state solution, to arrive at long-lasting peace between Palestinians and the Israeli occupation as per international standards.
Director General for Asia-Pacific and African Affairs of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdul Kadir Jailani, in a virtual symposium, underscored occupation’s rejection of the two state solution as a major obstacle, clarifying that Palestine and Indonesia are in agreement in their support to the solution.
Jailani refuted the assumption that Indonesia’s support for the two-state solution is a an attempt to normalize diplomatic ties with the occupation, saying that Indonesia is supporting four demands in that regard, the first of which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The second demand is the immediate end to Israeli occupation’s settlement expansion in the West Bank.
The third is the repatriation of Palestinians and the forth is recognizing East Jerusalem as the Palestinian cap
ital.
