Independent MP Jawad Al-Yasari confirmed: The budget deficit is a warning bell and a continuous call to diversify revenues.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “The deficit cannot continue without effective solutions,” indicating: “Relying on one resource will not lead to end this deficit.”
Al-Yasari added: “The investment mechanism must be activated in all sectors in light of the clear fluctuation in international oil prices.”
He explained that: “If the budget is approved for three years in this situation, the deficit will remain the same, and the deficit may increase in the event that the oil price declines from $70.”
