The total number of building licenses issued in the third quarter of 2022 increased by 2% compared with the second quarter of the same year and decreased by 7% compared with the third quarter of the previous year, where the number of new building licenses increased by 4% compared with the second quarter of 2022 and decreased by 8% compared with the third quarter of 2021, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
A total of 2,665 building licenses were issued in the third quarter of 2022, of which 1,626 are new buildings, it said, adding that the total number of licensed dwellings was 5,510, of which 4,348 were new dwellings and 1,162 were existing dwellings.
The number of new dwellings in the third quarter of 2022 increased by 9% compared with the second quarter of 2022 and decreased by 2% compared with the third quarter of 2021.
