The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the situation regarding the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is “dangerous”.

Grossi indicated during his visit to the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant that an attack on any nuclear power plant is unacceptable, regardless of its location.

He added: “The International Atomic Energy Agency will continue to enhance nuclear safety everywhere,” noting that there is a risk of a nuclear accident in the Russian Kursk region.

Grossi said, in a statement published on the website of the International Atomic Energy Agency: “Since the beginning of the development of the situation and the increase in the level of military activity near the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, I have been closely monitoring the development of the situation on the ground, especially with regard to the nuclear power plant.”

It is noteworthy that the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that it had obtained information from Russia about the remains
of a drone that was discovered on the territory of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant.
