The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors held a special meeting on the ongoing situation in Ukraine on Friday, as requested by its government.

The IAEA said in a brief release that the 35-state board held a closed-door meeting following a message received from Ukraine’s permanent representative at international organizations in Vienna.

However, the IAEA failed to reveal any details about the meeting’s agenda.

The meeting comes in the aftermath of a reportedly Russian military strike on a children’s hospital in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

Ukraine had requested the IAEA Board of Governors to look into the matter because Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital had received support from the U.N. nuclear watchdog in the field of cancer diagnostics and treatment.

Doctors and medical staff were injured in the attack on the hospital.
