In a display of exceptional skill and determination, Hong Kong’s Wai Hang Ho, a seasoned fencing player, secured the gold medal in the epee competition on Sunday.

Meanwhile, also at the Asian Fencing tournament, hosted in Kuwait, Korean player Sina Hong triumphed, winning also the gold medal in the foil competition.

Hang Ho earned his medal by defeating his teammate Ho Tin, who won the Silver Medal in the men’s epee final with a breathtaking 15-14 score.

Meanwhile, Japan’s Akira Kumata and Kazakhstan’s Yerlik Sertai won the bronze medals.

In the Foil competition for women, South Korea’s Sina Hong won the gold medal after defeating Japan’s Komaki Kikuchi, who won the silver medal.

China’s Yuting Wang and Japan’s Yuka Uno won the bronze medal.

The Kuwaiti Fencing Federation held a ceremony to honor the President of the Asian and Arab Fencing Federation, Sheikh Salem Al-Qassimi, including members of the organizing committee for the tournament, referees, technical and administrative committees, and voluntee
rs working for the tournament were also honored at the ceremony.

Last night, the Asian Fencing tournament kicked off with 350 players representing 36 countries.

The country is hosting the championship until next Thursday under the patronage and attendance of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah.
