The leadership of the local authority in Hodeida province has issued directives to all relevant agencies to enhance their preparedness in response to potential flood damage amid ongoing heavy rains.

A statement from the provincial local council urged the joint emergency committee and all concerned bodies to maximize their readiness, including mobilizing human resources and equipment, and preparing for an emergency response to mitigate flood impacts.

The statement emphasized the importance of utilizing all available resources across different districts and ensuring rapid coordination between all sectors, including civil defense, to effectively manage the effects of floods and safeguard lives and property.

It called on undersecretaries of square affairs, district directors, and executive bodies to rotate shifts in joint operations rooms and to implement emergency plans and necessary procedures to address flood-related damage promptly.
