Health and Environment Ministry has finalized the health arrangements in all squares celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday anniversary in the capital and the provinces.

Minister of Health Dr. Ali Sheiban explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that as part of the ministry’s responsibility to celebrate this occasion and achieve its human dimension, recalling its greatness and the importance of reflecting this feeling positively on serving citizens by dealing with the values of the Holy Prophet, including mercy, charity, generosity, giving, honesty and sincerity in work, the ministry has instructed all health facilities to give charity to patients, especially the poor, and make discounts in services.

He emphasized adherence to these lofty values that achieve the goals of preserving human health, calling on all health cadres and leaders to be on the achieving level these principles and values.

He pointed to the high readiness of medical, health and ambulatory staff in partnership with the public and private m
edical sector to implement the plan to celebrate this religious occasion.

Health Minister said that medical cadres have been allocated with all their requirements and supplies to provide health services to the guests of the Messenger of Allah in hospitals, field camps and ambulances, as well as medical equipment at the main entrances and intersections of the roads leading to the squares and highways between the provinces.

He discussed the existing partnership with private sector hospitals and their readiness to deal with any emergency.

The Health Minister said that the ministry has allocated 69 ambulances for the celebration of the occasion in Al Sabeen Square and the roads leading to it, including 138 health workers, in addition to setting up 12 medical tents with 145 health workers in addition to two field hospitals with 100 staff.

He pointed out that 20 ambulances have been allocated to the Military College Square for women in Capital Secretariat , the roads leading to it, with 20 health staff, and sev
en medical tents with 50 staff.

The Health Minister called on the guests of Allah Messenger coming to celebrate the his birth anniversary , to follow safety procedures and adhere to traffic rules , avoid stampedes and overcrowding, stressing the keenness to ensure the health and safety of the crowds of millions of people coming to the celebration squares, sensing the responsibility that falls on the health sector, according to a report by the Health Ministry central operations .

According to a report issued by the Health Ministry central operations, the number of medical camps allocated by the ministry and its offices in the provinces is 90 medical camps with 995 medical staff, including 12 camps with 145 staff in the central celebration square in Sabeen Square, seven medical camps and 50 staff in the military college square for women in the capital Sana’a, and 71 camps with 945 medical staff for the celebration squares in the provinces.

The report explained that the ministry and its executive offices in t
he provinces have allocated 82 government hospitals and 169 private hospitals in the secretariat and the provinces to receive and treat emergency cases, including eight government hospitals and 84 private hospitals for the central celebration in Al-Sabeen Square and the Military College in the secretariat.

He pointed out that 140 ambulances and 527 paramedics have been provided for all the squares, as well as 174 ambulances and 476 paramedics on the roads leading to the squares and highways outside the cities. He pointed out that four field hospitals have been equipped in the Capital secretariat and Amran province with 169 medical staff.

The report indicated that the total number of medical, technical, supervisory, follow-up and coordination staff in the various squares is 6,934.

The health sector participation on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday anniversary was not limited to celebratory events, but also the establishment of medical camps and the provision of free medical services in various hospita
ls.

Since the beginning of Rabiul Awwal, the Health Ministry has been implementing special activities and programs on this occasion to ease the pain of patients, especially the poor, and bring joy not only to the patient but also to his family.

The health sector was keen to prepare to hold health events in all provinces, for government and private hospitals to celebrate the Prophet’s birth anniversary by significantly reducing their treatment services for patients out of love for the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family.
