Deputy governor Mohammed al-Qadi has chaired a meeting in Hajjah to discuss the performance of the province’s Customs Office.

The meeting was attended by Customs Office Director Abdulkarim al-Kuhlani and other department heads.

The discussions focused on progress in registering vehicles such as cars, 7-passenger buses, and European trucks. Attendees addressed challenges and strategies to overcome them, particularly in light of a reduction campaign by the Customs Authority that began in May and ends on August 20.

The importance of security and traffic services in supporting the Authority’s efforts to seize unregistered vehicles was emphasized.

Al-Qadi praised the Customs Administration’s efforts despite the ongoing aggression and siege, highlighting the province leadership’s commitment to overcoming obstacles and ensuring the success of planned initiatives.

Al-Kuhlani underscored the need for collective efforts to ensure the campaign’s success.

The meeting also reviewed the performance of the Land Transp
ort Regulatory Authority in the province.

Deputy Director Mohammed Breik provided an overview of performance, discipline, resource development, and achievements in the first half of the year.

Al-Qadi noted significant improvements in organizing and enhancing control over transportation means and urged continued efforts to improve performance.
