The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the complete collapse of the health system in the Gaza Strip, while reporting that the number of martyrs as a result of the Israeli attack on the Strip had risen to more than 39 thousand.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated, ‘We announce the complete collapse of the health system in the hospitals of the Gaza Strip,’ more than 9 months after the start of the Israeli ground military operation in the Strip on the twenty-seventh of last October.
In terms of casualties, Gaza Health Ministry said that the number of martyrs since the beginning of the Israeli attack on the Strip had risen to 39,145 martyrs.
The Ministry said in a statement that it counted among those transported to hospitals ’55 martyrs and 110 injured… during the last twenty-four hours’ until Wednesday morning.
It noted that the total number of wounded “has reached 90,257 since October 7.”
In the West Bank, the Ministry of Health said that 589 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation bulle
ts in the West Bank since October 7, 2023, including 142 children.
This comes as the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that there is no safe place in Gaza.
UNRWA added that evacuation orders included a large part of the Gaza Strip, making the options to which the displaced might turn limited.
It said that people in Gaza have become exhausted from ongoing displacement and unlivable conditions and are trapped in increasingly small and crowded areas.
