France on Monday decried wide-scale Russian missile attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine including a children’s hospital.

The foreign ministry said in a statement that the latest Russian attacks killed more than 20 people and wounded at least 40 others, adding that these attacks including the targeting of a children’s hospital should be added to the list of crimes that Russia must be held accountable for.

It reaffirmed a declaration by the European leaders, on June 27, that Russia would not be allowed to win the war on Ukraine.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on his X account earlier today that the Russian forces unleashed more than 40 missiles targeting several cities in Ukraine, inflicting damage to the infrastructure and properties and leaving scores of people killed or injured.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry denied reports about the targeting of civilian facilities in Ukraine, saying that the forces unleashed accurate strikes on military industrial facilities and airports.
