France beat Belgium 1-0 in the 16th round of the Euro 2024 football tournament on Monday, qualifying for the quarter-finals.
Belgian defender Van Vertonghen scored the sole goal into his team’s net, erroneously, in the 85th minute of the encounter, held at Dusseldorf stadium.
The French will play against the winner of the Portugal-Slovenia match due later tonight.
