Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister , Jamal Ahmed Amer, met on Wednesday with the Head of the United Nations Mission to support the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA) and Chairman of the Redeployment Coordination Committee in Hodeidah, General Michael Perry, who congratulated him on assuming the Foreign Ministry portfolio.

The meeting discussed issues related to the mission work as well as the aggressive attack by the Zionist entity on civilian economic facilities in Hodeida port , which amounts to war crimes.

In the meeting, Minister Amer stressed the need to adhere to the Stockholm Agreement implementation , with its specifications, including defining the mandate of the United Nations Mission to support the Hodeida Agreement (UNMHA) in Hodeida Province.

He pointed out the keenness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to provide all facilities and support to the team and the redeployment mission in Hodeida , to continue coordination , consultation, in order to ensure the success of their tasks
and the implementation of their programs.

In turn, Perry confirmed that the committee will continue its work as required from its headquarters in Hodeida city, expressing his hope for everyone’s cooperation to achieve the desired goals of the presence of the United Nations Mission to coordinate the redeployment in Hodeida.
