Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met today, Sunday, with the Head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the sixth meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the high-level strategic dialogue mechanism between Turkey and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Turkish diplomatic sources indicated that Fidan and Haniyeh discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the latest proposal for a ceasefire.
