Explosion of crude oil pipeline in Safer, Marib

Unknown gunmen blew up on Tuesday a crude oil pipeline linking the Safer facility and the Jannah field, east of the city of Marib.

A local source explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that a large fire broke out in the pipe that supplies the Safer facility with crude oil after it was targeted by armed elements.

The Safer region is witnessing great tension between the tribes and forces loyal to the Brotherhood after the mercenary government announced a dose to raise the prices of locally produced fuel by 300 percent, which prompted the Marib tribes to prevent the departure of oil and gas locomotives from the Safer facility for the seventh day in a row.
