Erdogan: The international community cannot remain silent about the Israeli arrogance that is pushing the entire region into fire

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said: The international community cannot remain silent about “Israeli arrogance that is pushing the entire region into fire”, calling for the recommendation to use force contained in the 1950 UN resolution to be implemented quickly.

In a speech he delivered last night after chairing a government meeting at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, Erdogan called on the international community and the Islamic world to take action to achieve peace for all peoples in the region, including Muslims, Christians and Jews.

The Turkish president added that standing with Palestine and Lebanon today means standing with humanity, peace and the culture of coexistence among different beliefs, and Islamic countries must show the greatest response to the injustice in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon, and Muslims must lead the world to prevent injustice.

He continued by saying: “A handful of extremist Zionists blinded by hatred are throwing our region and the entire world into fire… We wil
l never accept this injustice and this barbarism.”

He stressed that the recommendation to use force, as stated in the UN General Assembly resolution of 1950, must be implemented quickly.

The Turkish President touched on the humanitarian aid provided by Turkey to Lebanon, saying: “We delivered 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Beirut on Wednesday and we will continue our aid as long as security conditions allow it.”

Regarding the speech he delivered at the UN General Assembly last week, Erdogan said: “I specifically referred to the conflicts and atrocities in the region, especially the genocide committed by Israel against the people of Gaza.”

The Turkish President added: “By repeating the slogan, the world is bigger than five, we have reaffirmed that global peace and security should not be left to the whims of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, stressing that Turkey has become the voice of all oppressed people who struggle for freedom, justice, rights and equality, on all international pla
tforms.
