Earthquake Hits Northern Mariana Islands


A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off the Northern Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean on Wednesday.

The earthquake occurred 463.8 kilometers from the capital, Saipan, and at a depth of 10 kilometers, the US Geological Survey reported.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or material damage.

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the Northern Mariana Islands in July.
