During a 40-minute call.. Berri discusses the current situation in Lebanon with Blinken

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received a phone call today, Friday, from US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, which lasted about 40 minutes, during which they discussed the current situation in Lebanon.

Blinken’s call to Berri came after Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced today that he “received a call from the US Secretary of State and found full solidarity with Lebanon and there is a great effort to stop the fire.”

Mikati also confirmed after the cabinet meeting that they “decided to ask the Security Council to take an urgent decision to stop the fire in Lebanon.”

Yesterday, Thursday, Nabih Berri confirmed that the Americans are communicating with his country and saying that they are with the solution in Lebanon, but “there is a lot of talk and little action.”

Nabih Berri commented on Hezbollah’s escalation of its operations against Israel, saying: “The battles have a direct impact on pushing the international community towards a solution.
