The Prime Minister met with the caretaker government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, along with the official of the education, culture and media sector, Hassan Al-Saadi, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mohamed Hussein Al-Moaidi, the technical and administrative staff and the players of the national youth football team.

The national team is currently in its internal preparatory camp at the Youth Hostel in the capital, Sana’a, in preparation for the Asian qualifiers to be launched next September, which will be hosted by the Indonesia in Group F, which includes, in addition to the national team, the teams of Indonesia, East Timor and the Maldives.

In the meeting, Dr. Bin Habtoor stressed in an orientation speech the importance of early and distinguished preparation for the national team, which contributes to its emergence at a level that reflects the Yemeni talent despite the current challenges regarding the continued aggression and blockade, and the destruction of youth and sports capabilities.

He urged th
e stars of the national team to redouble their efforts to honor Yemen, and to confirm the determination and will of Yemen youth and athletes and overcome the current challenges. He appreciated the role of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in supporting national teams and sponsoring innovators in various fields.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Youth in the caretaker government stressed the ministry’s keenness to provide support and assistance to the national teams and create the appropriate conditions to raise their readiness and provide a level worthy of the aspirations of the Yemeni fans eager for the team’s achievements, similar to what the team previously achieved in the junior category by winning the West Asian Championship twice.
