The branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Hodeida Governorate distributed food and shelter aid to 12,943 cases affected by floods today.

The aid included 12,313 food baskets for affected cases in various districts of Hodeida, through the World Food Program as part of the emergency response plan and project to alleviate the suffering of families whose homes were severely damaged.

It also included food baskets and shelter materials for 150 families in Al Zahra, Al Maghlaf and Al Zaidiyah districts through the Youth Development Association, 300 families in Zabid district through the Yemeni Red Crescent Society, and 180 families in Al Luhayyah district through the Maharat Foundation.

The director of the council’s branch in the governorate, Jaber Al Razhi, explained that this aid comes within the efforts of the relief plan to alleviate the suffering of families affected by floods in the targeted villages and areas in the govern
orate’s districts.
