Discussing mechanism of activating markets of economic institution in several governorates

Today, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, met with Musa Al-Houthi, the Deputy Director of the Yemeni Economic Corporation, to discuss the activation mechanisms for the corporation’s markets in the Capital Sana’a, Sa’ada, and Hodeida.

The meeting discussed the role of the economic institution in implementing a strategy to prioritize local products over imported ones.

It approved the completion of the construction of the Kilo 18 market in Hodeidah and the assignment of a joint committee to supervise the implementation stages, in addition to assigning the competent authorities in the ministry to activate the farms of the Economic Corporation in seed propagation, as it has integrated assets and infrastructure.

The meeting also touched on the mechanism of activating the Bajil Industrial Complex and preparing a mechanism for the disposal of its products, and ways to activate food factories to absorb agricultural raw materials as an alternative to imported products.
Stressing the importance of the contractual industry between producers and manufacturers.c
