The Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund, in collaboration with the National Union of Yemeni Disabled Associations, on Sunday organized a celebratory event in Sana’a to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) birthday.

During the event, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Baja’alah emphasized the significance of celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad as a means to draw lessons from his exemplary life and emulate his noble character.

Baja’alah stressed the need to activate previously established laws related to disabled individuals to ensure their effective implementation, which would contribute to their well-being and happiness.

Minister Baja’alah highlighted the importance of prioritizing the rehabilitation and care of disabled individuals, aiming to help them live independently and self-sufficiently.

He directed the executive management of the Disabled Care Fund to focus on achieving its goals in line with the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed A
bdul-Malik bin Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the government’s programs for progress and prosperity.

Head of the Disabled Union Abdullah Binyan underscored the fund’s critical role and the responsibility of its management and relevant parties to ensure equality in services for disabled and vulnerable groups.

He called for leveraging the Prophet’s birthday anniversary to announce new work mechanisms and standards aimed at achieving these goals.
