DHAMAR – SABA: The Dhamar General Hospital Authority inaugurated a free medical camp today for the treatment of cancer patients and the early detection of tumors.

The three-day camp is being conducted by the Dhamar General Hospital Authority, in collaboration with the National Committee for Women’s branch and the “Fazaa Khair” Association for Cancer Care. It features participation from the National Oncology Center and the Cancer Fund.

During the inauguration, the Deputy of the Governorate, Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, emphasized the significance of these camps in alleviating the hardships and travel expenses for cancer patients by offering free consultations and necessary medications for their treatment.

He noted that the camp’s establishment coincided with the events and activities commemorating the Messenger of humanity and mercy, Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. He commended the efforts of the Authority, the National Committee for Women’s branch, and all parties cooperating and contributing to
the camp.

Dr. Hamoud Al-Mushki, the head of the Dhamar General Hospital Authority, stated that the camp is part of the Prophet’s birthday activities, aiming to embody the Prophet’s values of mercy and charity, may God bless him and grant him peace.

He emphasized that the Oncology Unit at the Authority offers its services free of charge all year round, with particular attention and care for cancer patients. Additionally, in celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, the authority has declared a week of complimentary inspections and discounts of up to 50 percent on all services, commencing this coming Saturday.

Dr. Ashwaq Al-Mahdi, the head of the National Committee for Women’s branch, stated that the camp features a scientific symposium focused on discussing patient cases and examining tumors. This initiative aims to guarantee the application of the most recent early treatment and diagnostic methods, as well as addressing symptoms related to cancerous tumors, with the involvement of various consultants and spec
ialists. She expressed gratitude for the backing of partners from pharmaceutical firms and benefactors.
