Bayda countryside district organized on Sunday a significant rhetorical event to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

The event, marking 12th Rabi` al-Awwal, was led by the local council and featured speeches that highlighted the spiritual and moral significance of the occasion.

Governor Abdullah Idris emphasized the importance of this sacred anniversary as an opportunity to renew and reinforce Muhammadan values, morals, and principles.

Abdullah noted that the Prophet Muhammad guided the nation towards righteousness and steadfastness, rejecting any power other than God and confronting enemies despite substantial sacrifices.

The governor urged the community to make the central event on the 12th of Rabi` al-Awwal in the provincial capital a success, particularly in light of current challenges faced by the Islamic world, including repeated insults to its symbols and sanctities.

Shura Council member Abdullah al-Mudhafari spoke on the deep connection between the Yemeni people and t
he Prophet Muhammad, emphasizing that this celebration reflects that bond and the special status the Prophet bestowed upon Yemen.

Director of Rural Bayda district Adel al-Kasadi also addressed attendees, discussing the significance of celebrating the Prophet’s birth amid the current exceptional circumstances faced by Yemen and the broader Arab and Islamic world, particularly the tragic situation in Palestine.

Al-Kasadi stressed the importance of following the Prophet’s example in confronting injustice and remaining steadfast in upholding the truth.
