he 48th COPA America will kick start on June 21, Friday, in the United States amid great anticipation and fierce rivalry.

The tournament gathers teams from south, central, and north America, divided in four groups.

Group A gathers Argentina, Canada, Chile, and Peru, while Group B has Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, and Venezuela.

Group C sees Bolivia, the US, Panama, and Uruguay battling it off for the top spots, while Group D compromises of Brazil, Colombia, and Paraguay.

COPA has always been an event where giants such as Argentina and Brazil usually square off to take the tournament most coveted trophy.

Argentina has a star-studded team led by Lionel Messi who achieved his greatest goal in winning the previous World Cup and with the COPA America nearing, the 36-year-old star would not mind another title added to his legacy.

Brazil on the other hand is looking forward to make this COPA America theirs with the team hungering for any trophy that eluded them in the past decades.

The 15-champions Uruguay, an ho
nor shared with Argentina, is also eager to add to the tally of COPA America cups.

The host, the US, would be focusing on reaching farther and higher this tournament via sheer will and the support of their fans.

This COPA America will be played in 14 stadiums throughout the US with the opening match pitting Argentina against Canada. The tournament will last until July 14.
