Civil Defense teams in Baghdad extinguished a fire that broke out inside a gas station northwest of the capital today, Monday.

The Civil Defense Directorate stated in a statement that “its teams have fully controlled a fire that broke out inside a tank loaded with fuel with a ground tank carrying improved gasoline inside “Al-Masabih Village” gas station in the Taji area northwest of Baghdad.”

It indicated that “its teams pushed the weight of their specialized and supporting vehicles on the Baghdad Karkh side and were able to gain full control in record time after removing the fire from the fuel tanks adjacent to the tank and the burning tank inside the station and completed the extinguishing and cooling work without recording any human injuries.”

It indicated that she “requested an investigation to be opened at the police station responsible for the geographical area and to summon a forensic expert to determine the causes of the initial outbreak of the fire inside the station.
