The Yemeni Central Bank in Sana’a issued an important statement regarding compensation for citizens in the occupied governorates who are in possession of sums of money in legal tender.
Below is its text:
In order to preserve the rights and savings of citizens in the occupied governorates who are in possession of sums of money in legal tender -the Central Bank announces that it will compensate the amounts of legal tender that are currently circulating in the occupied governorates.
Note that the Central Bank will publish all the details related to the compensation mechanism on Tuesday, Dhul-Qi’dah 27, 1445 AH, corresponding to June 4, 2024 AD.
