The Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Hajjah province has launched the second phase of cash assistance disbursement to displaced and affected residents in Kushar district.
This phase targets 500 beneficiaries, each receiving 119,000 Y.R, following the first phase that supported 900 beneficiaries.
In addition to financial aid, the local council in Kushar has received educational projects, including the construction of additional classrooms and solar energy systems for local schools, valued at $34,578.
The initiative also includes health and water sector projects, such as the establishment of an emergency obstetric center and a water supply system, benefiting thousands of residents.
The water sector project involves the construction of a water collection tank and the rehabilitation of a water source, benefiting over two thousand people.
This project includes the installation of a solar-powered pumping unit, complete with pumping lines and a distribution network
that connects to five wells, with a total cost of $40,229.
The Director of the Supreme Council branch emphasized the importance of these efforts in reducing the suffering of those affected and ensuring sustainable development.
