cases in Palestine surge to 476 with 185 new cases confirmed

The tally of the COVID Omicron cases in Palestine has surged to 476 after 185 new cases were confirmed in the last few days, today said Ministry of Health spokesman Kamal al-Shakhra.

He said In a statement that the majority of the cases of the highly transmissible variant were reported in the West Bank.

The World Health Organization has warned that the Omicron variant was spreading significantly faster than the delta strain.

The MoH spokesman called on citizens to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their families, adhere to safety and prevention measures and wear masks.
