Chinese authorities announced on Tuesday that 11 people were killed and 13 others injured after a bus crashed into a crowd of students and adults at the gate of a middle school in Dongping County, East China’s Shandong Province.
According to Xinhua, police said the accident occurred when a bus hired to transport students lost control and crashed into pedestrians on the side of the road.
Police said they have detained the bus driver, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the accident.
