The Basra Criminal Court issued death sentences against four drug traffickers for the crime of trafficking in narcotic substances.
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement that “the four convicts, including a woman, were found in their possession of two substances, methylamphetamine and hashish.”
He added, “The rulings were issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 27/First of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017.
